Post Operative Care

— Post-Operative Care

Your recovery, guided every step.

Recovery doesn’t end in the operating room. We support you through every stage after surgery — from your incision and comfort to follow-up visits and getting back to the activities you love.

The right follow-up care is what turns a successful surgery into a full recovery. Here’s how we help you heal — jump to any service below.

Injections

Targeted injections ease inflammation and pain and support your body’s natural healing — used thoughtfully as one part of your recovery plan.

Types of injections we offer

  • Cortisone injections — a corticosteroid that quickly calms inflammation and pain in a joint, tendon, or bursa, often giving enough relief to keep moving and make progress in therapy.
  • Gel injections (viscosupplementation) — hyaluronic acid that lubricates and cushions an arthritic joint, most often the knee, to reduce pain and improve movement.
  • Other injections — including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) drawn from your own blood to support natural healing, plus additional options your provider may recommend for your recovery.

What to expect

A quick, in-office procedure. Your provider explains each step, and most patients return to normal activity soon after.

One tool in a broader recovery plan — recommended only when it’s likely to help.

Wound & Incision Care

Clear, simple guidance to keep your surgical site clean, protected, and healing the way it should.

When this matters

  • After any procedure with an incision
  • Dressing changes and protecting the site
  • Questions about showering or bathing
  • Any redness, drainage, or warmth

What to expect

We inspect your incision at each visit and guide you on activity that protects the site as it heals.

Call us right away with increasing redness, drainage, swelling, odor, or fever — possible signs of infection.

03 · Pain Management

Pain Management

A personalized plan that keeps you comfortable and moving, using the safest, most effective approach for your procedure.

When this matters

  • In the days and weeks after surgery
  • Pain limiting your sleep or therapy
  • Weaning off stronger medications
  • A non-opioid-focused approach

What to expect

A combination of medication, ice, positioning, therapy, and injections when appropriate — with regular check-ins.

Effective relief with the lowest necessary medication — and fewer opioids whenever possible.

04 · Follow Up Care

Follow-Up & Suture Removal

Scheduled checkpoints to track your healing and remove sutures or staples at exactly the right time.

When this matters

  • Every patient after surgery
  • Suture or staple removal
  • Imaging or progress checks
  • Clearance to resume activity

What to expect

Your first follow-up is usually within one to two weeks. Removal is quick and comfortable, and we map out your next steps.

Keeping your follow-ups is one of the simplest ways to protect your result — even if you feel great.
